Obamacare “will be a political football for the rest of my life,” small business owner Larry Patterson said last week at The Heritage Foundation.

Patterson, who owns Glass Doctors, spoke at Heritage about the impact Obamacare is already having on small business owners like him.

Patterson has offered health insurance to his employees since he started the company in 2003. But with premiums on the rise, Patterson finds himself forced to choose between two bad options:

  1. Raise prices for his services to pay for the higher premiums. These higher prices could drive customers to his competitors.
  2. Stop offering group health coverage to his employees. This could result in skilled workers seeking employment elsewhere.

Faced with these awful decisions, it’s no wonder so many businesses are setting up shop overseas, Patterson said.

Patterson’s story is just one of many. Find out more ways Obamacare is negatively affecting small business owners.
