Mike Lee at Heritage: To Succeed in the Future, Conservatives Should Focus on Ideas

To succeed in the future, conservatives need to develop new solutions to meet new problems, especially the challenges facing poor and middle class families, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said yesterday at The Heritage Foundation.

“To deserve victory, conservatives have to do more than pick a fight. We have to win a debate,” Lee said in Heritage’s Allison Auditorium. “And to do that, we need more than just guts. We need an agenda. Our generation of conservatives has big shoes to fill, and a lot of lost time to make up. So, let’s get to work.”

Conservatives alone can champion those struggling to make ends meet because, he explained,  the left does not represent entrepreneurs and Main Street. Instead, liberal proposals today favor K Street, Wall Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Continue Reading »
