On Wednesday the UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs, Boris Johnson, visited Heritage for a private meeting with Heritage experts.

After his meeting at Heritage, Johnson went on to meet with leaders in both the House and Senate.

Heritage has continued to maintain a strong relationship with the UK and Johnson’s visit speaks to that relationship.

Heritage tweeted this photo Wednesday of the meeting:

We will continue to strengthen relationships with U.S. foreign allies.

How important is the UK-U.S. relationship?

We must keep our ties open with the UK. They are in the grip of a frightening Islamic movement to dominate this island. We must support those who remain steadfast to British identity principles and culture.

The U.S. relationship with the U.K. is extremely important to the survival of western civilization. Our bond scans multiple generations and through several wars. The U.K. was our closest ally throughout WWII. We have a lot of similarities between our countries such as, language, music and basic Christianity which gave us the rule of law which
protects our most basic human rights.

A good relationship with all of our allies is critical
We must stay on the same wave length in terms of foreign policy.
