Heritage experts are working hard to share the conservative solutions to critical issues our nation is facing–and they are being heard.

On Wednesday, Heritage’s National Security team briefed the House Armed Services Committee and laid out key assessments of our military drawing from Heritage’s 2018 Index of Military Strength.

General Tom Spoehr, the Director of Heritage’s Center for National Defense, said:

“It is a critical time as the Congress considers the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act, as well as, prepares to receive the Trump Administration’s first built from the ground defense budget for 2019.  As the Index of Military Strength reports, America’s military is under considerable strain as it is underfunded and too small to protect U.S. national interests.”

Overall, the 2018 Index concludes that the current U.S. military force is likely capable of meeting the demands of a single major regional conflict while also attending to various presence and engagement activities but that it would be very hard-pressed to do more and certainly would be ill-equipped to handle two nearly simultaneous major regional contingencies.

Every tax dollar we spend on our military should be spent wisely and judiciously, without duplication, waste, fraud or abuse of any kind. Also, we should not spend anything for weapons systems not requested by President Trump or the Congress.

Also, we need to seriously review all the duties, roles and functions of the different branches of the military. Do we have duplication of mission, duty and function? I believe we do! Why at that rate, have five different branches of the military? Each branch should perform a separate and distinct function apart from the others; yet, they still should be able to cooperate in joint operations in times of national necessity..

Peace through strength is our goal, so we need to be combat ready, at every level, at all times. Diplomacy is wonderful, but it doesn’t always address the situation positively. Increase our military preparedness budget during this budget writing time.

Rot/decay from within. By importing the LGBTQ agenda into the military and the expanding drug/alcohol abuse already weaking our forces we will NOt have to worry much about an enemy defeating us…we will have defeated ourselves. The second greatest threat to the US is using the milatary to BANKRUPT the nation.

As Commander-in-Chief, our President has every right to ignore the decision made by OBama’s activist judge, and simply put a stop to the transvestism and all the other silly attempts to make our military a godless, sensitivity experiment. No wonder we no longer win conflicts and wars.

If we enter a major regional conflict, we are very likely to get an EMP attack that will be hard to track to a specific source. Then our forces will be on their own. Is there a war-game for that?

Organizing for America (OFA), deceptively named by Barrack Obama, is going to be a major security risk to the United States. He is organizing, and has been organizing since before he left office, trying to ruin the President Trump. Surely, things he and Michelle are doing make them traitors and we need to disband this organization before it takes over America. Our military needs to be increased tremendously to fight this organization. There is nothing about this sick organization that is “For” America.

The LGBTQ and OFA need to go. There is no place for either. The military needs new equipment and soldiers immediately. We also need to retain more of our senior NCO’s and Officers. Thank you??

Israel is responsible for all of the wars in the Mid-East. We should bring all of our military present there home to protect our country. After eight years in the USNR, I mustered out as an Aviation Electronic Technician Second Class, and an Aircrew/ radar operator aboard their S2F airplanes for five years. I was in no wars!

permit the chaplins to pray to God and Christ to help the military. Obamas BS hurts the troops. If you don’t believe dont listen, but when they shoot at you, don’t forget you dont believe.
