Heritage Foundation expert Nicolas Loris explains how opening energy markets “would create more opportunities for Americans, promote economic prosperity at home and abroad, and improve political situations around the world.”

He specifically looks at natural resources including coal, natural gas, and oil.

He says:

Expanding market opportunities for energy exports will not just benefit energy companies. By opening the door to establishing more efficient global oil markets, all Americans will reap the benefits of lower prices, more jobs, and a stronger economy. Freely trading energy will not only increase prosperity around the world, but also bolster U.S. national security by diversifying supplies in the global market.

He suggests three policy solutions:

  1. Lift natural gas export barriers.
  2. Remove the crude oil export ban.
  3. Prevent threats to coal exports

Absolutely will! We have seen what the free market system does for any country. We need to get the darn
politician out of our markets and let it do what it wants to do. I am so discusted with our government holding us back. This all started back in 1913 and hasn’t let up yet.
An good example is shoving those curly que light bulbs down our throats by outlawing the competiton.

I do feel our country should take all reasonable steps to assure energy independence without having to run over individual rights to get there. However, I do not think we will get to the point of exporting that will lower gas prices because the energy industry will use every tactic they can to keep prices up. Lower prices are a fantasy no matter what citizens do and if that should happen the government will find a way to take it!

The use of our own energy resources would certainly have a positive effect on the price level, bringing it down substantially from current levels. Not only will using our own provide jobs and investment but would lower the cost of heating oil, gas, gasoline, thereby giving the ‘poor’ more aid than food stamps ever could. Moreover, lower prices will defund Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran and all the suppliers who use their profits to destroy America, Western Civilization and freedom. We are self-destructive fools.

It is vital that the conservatives take over the senate. Stop all bans on energy.

I have been a proponent of opening up the natural resources of which our great country has great abundance as avenues to create thousands of jobs, lower fuel prices, help our crippled economy, all of which ___ we don’t have now because liberal socialist in the Washington Administration have prevented through EPA, IRS, FDA RESTRICTIONS NOW IN PLACE.

The United States has enough untapped natural gas, oil, and coal within our boundaries to not only be energy independent, but EXPORT worldwide. This would dramatically reduce fuel prices, create good paying CAREER long jobs and boost the economy exponentially.
