Earlier today, the House of Representatives voted 230-189 for legislation that would keep the government open while defunding Obamacare.
“Today, the House of Representatives voted to stop Obamacare because it listened to people across the country,” Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint said. “Here’s hoping the Senate listens to the American people as well.”
This vote is a victory for the conservative movement and for American people. As Heritage’s Chris Jacobs explains, “Congress’s best option is to defund the entire law to prevent its implementation.”
Our sister organization, Heritage Action for America, deserves no small part of the credit. They stimulated the grassroots movement that helped make this vote possible.
Do you think this is a positive step toward the full repeal of Obamacare?
