Yesterday, the Senate passed the massive and complicated Gang of Eight immigration bill, which would grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. This came after Monday’s procedural vote on a nearly 1,200-page amendment to the bill. Senators had only 75 hours to read the immense amendment and consider its implications before that Monday vote.
The bill now goes to the U.S. House, where conservatives are raising questions about the proposal. At the monthly Conversations with Conservatives briefing on Capitol Hill this week, Representatives offered their views on the bill. Watch the video below:
