Conservative ideas need to break through the media spin. That’s is why year after year, The Heritage Foundation fights to take our ideas directly to the American people using these media.

Here are the highlights of Heritage’s media activity in 2012:

  • 3,792 radio appearances. More than 98 Heritage experts were interviewed on 151 different radio shows, totaling 3,792 radio interviews in 2012–or more than ten every day of the year.
  • 1,169 television interviews. That’s 3 television interviews every day from more than 85 Heritage experts, including appearances on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC.
  • 490 articles in the 10 largest newspapers in America, either written by or citing Heritage analysts, including in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the New York Times and the Washington Post. And there were 4,100 other print articles citing or written by Heritage experts.
  • 500,000+ fans on social media. Over half a million people like us on Facebook and 256,000 follow us on Twitter. And Heritage videos on YouTube were watched 1.3 million times.
