The New York Area Committee for Heritage hosted a reception and discussion for young professionals featuring Sally McNamara, Senior Policy Analyst in European Affairs at The Heritage Foundation.

Can America and Her Allies Still Prevail in Afghanistan?

The freedom and security of Americans depend on America’s global leadership. Without American leadership the world will become a more dangerous place—for Americans and for freedom.  Transnational terrorism, and regional conflict all represent real threats to peace and prosperity.  The continuing war in Afghanistan is one of the most important illustrations of this point.  US-led coalition forces must succeed in Afghanistan.

Heritage expert Sally McNamara, recently returned from Afghanistan, she discussed the difficulties facing the US in Afghanistan and charts our best path forward.  Can America still prevail in Afghanistan?  The question really should be “Can we afford not to?”.
