The Southern California Committee for Heritage hosted a reception and lecture focusing on first principles. Matthew Spalding, Ph.D., Heritage's Director of the B. Simon Center for American Studies, spoke about his new book, entitled We Still Hold These Truths: Rediscovering our Principles, Reclaiming Our Future. Spalding is an expert on political history and constitutionalism, as well as religious liberty and religious life in America.
At a time when economic crisis, ever-expanding government, rising international threats, declining civic education and many other problems cloud America's future, Matt Spalding will explain why rediscovering first principles is essential to getting our nation back on track.
