The New York Area Committee for Heritage hosted a discussion and dinner featuring John Stossel , host of Fox Business Network's Stossel, which premiered October 2009.
Prior to the dinner, there was a discussion with Matt Spalding, the Director of the B. Kenneth Simon Center for American Studies at The Heritage Foundation and James Carafano, Deputy Director, Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Institute for International Studies and Director, Douglas and Sarah Allison Center for Foreign Policy Studies. Spalding and Carafano discussed Spalding's new book, We Still Hold These Truths, in which he contends that the principles of America's Founding Fathers are our best access to permanent truths and the best ground from which to question the current direction of our nation. Following the discussion, there was a reception followed by a dinner featuring John Stossel.
