This summer, I had the opportunity to work as an intern in The Heritage Foundation membership office.

After graduating in May from Cedarville University with a degree in marketing, I decided to apply to Heritage to gain experience in a principled, policy-oriented organization. Knowing how competitive Heritage’s internship program can be, I jumped at the chance for a position!

The House of Representatives plans to vote Wednesday on repealing Obamacare.

If Congress does not repeal the health care law–repeal also requires approval by both the liberal-controlled Senate and President Obama–what happens then?

Obamacare will affect everyone. Not only does it centralize power in the federal government and create  a one-size-fits all healthcare system, it also breaks President Obama’s tax promises by massively increasing taxes on middle-class Americans.

With the Transportation Bill, Congress Continues Down the Road of Reckless Spending

By passing the transportation bill last week, Congress has once again demonstrated its complete disregard for budgets.

The bill will cost an astounding $120 billion over the next two years. Not only that, this spending outstrips the revenues coming in through the federal gasoline tax. That means either more debt or higher taxes–or both. Continue Reading »
