Small businesses are the life blood of the American economy. They produce over 50 percent of jobs created annually. However, in the Obama “jobs bill,” small businesses would be devastated.
In a speech Wednesday at The Heritage Foundation, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) explained that 75 percent of small business owners report their business income on their individual tax returns. President Obama wants to tax individuals making over $200,000, meaning that most small businesses in America would be facing a tax increase. This would be a huge blow to potential growth in an already anemic economy.
