The facts This is highly unlikely and not part of any scientific consensus. The recently released summary of the 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report estimates a sea level rise of only 7 to 23 inches over the next century, and there are reasons to believe that even that may be overstating things.
