Myth: Global warming causes higher seas

Liberal myth

We are facing 20-foot sea level rise because of global warming.

The facts

This is highly unlikely and not part of any scientific consensus.

The recently released summary of the 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report estimates a sea level rise of only 7 to 23 inches over the next century, and there are reasons to believe that even that may be overstating things.
