Keeping on mission

The Heritage Foundation prides itself on behaving just like a business: we set goals for ourselves, and we strive to keep to those goals. Our policy department this year set some ambitious and important goals which will help put America back on track:

  • Controlling federal spending
  • Reforming health care
  • Enhancing national security
  • Reforming and reducing taxes
  • Increasing international competitiveness

At the year’s halfway point, MyHeritage.org has taken the time to measure Heritage’s progress in these important areas. We have compiled a report card, which will be regularly updated, that lists Heritage’s accomplishments in each policy area.

With strong efforts on these and other issues, and with the support of our 275,000 members, Heritage is working hard to fulfill its mission statement and build “an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity and civil society flourish.”

Nathaniel Ward is the Editor of MyHeritage.org—a website for members and supporters of The Heritage Foundation.
